Family Guy' Episode 250 — Is Stewie Gay & More Burning Questions ...

If such quickie pop-culture jokes are the show's strength, its current weakness is the stories that revolve around the Griffins themselves and characters that, even when they're amusing, aren't very interesting. They certainly don't suggest the kind of richness that the characters of "The Simpsons" do.

great game, perfect difficulty, it's a challenge but not so hard it's a blatant cash grab. the conveyors are great and they have a lot of unique features I haven't seen in other match games. great job Devs! My ONLY complaint is that the controls for the swap are super sensitive, and causes me to match squares I didn't intend occasionally. Great game! Full Review

Love the the fact this is a candy crush style game. It's very addicting. My only complaint with it is nothing is showing up. I can play the game but everything else like lives, lettering, and the characters speaking to each other is all black bubbles. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it doesn't fix it. I feel this takes away from the gameplay. Full Review

I have a level 51 game going through android and iPhone but both devices crash. My Windows laptop doesn't seem to have an option to connect through Facebook, so I'm not able to play my existing account on the computer. Super bummed about that. I put quite a bit of time and money into collecting costumes and completing missions. I REALLY don't want to play a new account. Anyone have a solution or am I writing this game off for good? I had so much fun playing this game, but no do-overs, please.

It’s a subtle, little dig that the writers have continued to press, and it soars over the head of many in the audience. Once it gets brought to your attention you start to notice all of the quotes and feel as though you’re on the circle of an inside joke. It doesn’t have to be a deep, secondary plot like the writers of Rick and Morty are said to be planning; sometimes it can be as simple as a PG-rated curse word.

We can't believe that Brian is gone! What led you to make this crucial decision for the series?Steve Callaghan: Well, this was an idea that got pitched in the writers room and it sort of caught fire, and we thought it could be a fun way to shake things up. As soon as this idea came up, we started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters. Why did you decide that Brian had to be the one to go and not one of the other characters? It seemed more in the realm of reality that a dog would get hit by a car, than if one of the kids died. As much as we love Brian, and as much as everyone loves their pets, we felt it would be more traumatic to lose one of the kids, rather than the family pet.How did long-time Family Guy actors, Mila Kunis and Seth Green, react once they learned that Brian would die in tonight's episode?I think they were glad it wasn't them. I think they were surprised, as anyone would be, and I think they were pretty stunned especially this far into the show. They were as shocked as anyone.

Is it any good?QUALITYThis wacky brand of fast-paced humor isn't for everyone. As a plot device, Peter's visions can serve as a distraction, which ultimately disrupts what might be a storyline. On the other hand, the constant cross-references to musicals, literature, plays, and other TV shows might amuse some viewers. Don't expect consistent content from this show.

Macy auditioned for the role of Brian, and if it weren’t for budget constraints, he likely would have gotten the role. Some of the punch would have been taken out of Brian’s character had he been voiced by Macy, and it’s difficult to imagine the show’s progression with a softer-sounding Brian.

Parents need to know that Family Guy is very funny; the quirky scenarios can induce giggles or even guffaws in grown-ups. But Seth MacFarlane's show isn't meant to be watched by kids or young teens. Unpredictable is the name of the game in the town of Quahog, Rhode Island, where the Griffin family spends most of its time watching television and getting into trouble. The dog, Brian, and the infant, Stewie, are the most intelligent members of the family -- which might set off a few alarm bells in terms of inappropriate role modeling. Expect frequent sexual innuendo and salty language (of the "bitch" and "damn" variety), as well as some drinking and violence played for humor.

The show uses catchphrases, and most of the primary and secondary characters have them. Notable expressions include Quagmire's "Giggity giggity goo", Peter's "Freakin' sweet", and Joe's "Bring it on!" The use of many of these catchphrases declined in later seasons. The episode "Big Man on Hippocampus" mocks catchphrase-based humor: when Peter, who has forgotten everything about his life, is introduced to Meg, he exclaims "D'oh!", to which Lois replies, "No, Peter, that's not your catchphrase."

Has potential, very very glitchy, constantly crashes, especially when about to pass a level or if you did pass it but game hasn't completed moves left. Doesn't keep track of the 24 hour tasks completed either, I've set off way more than the necessary line breakers but still said I need 9 to complete. I am only counting the ones on levels completed also. Full Review

As a rule, the characters are pretty clueless and and ineffective, even when they mean well. Dog Brian and baby Stewie are the smartest characters -- but Stewie is almost always plotting something evil. Plenty of stereotyping and mockery.

Charles Culver April 28, 2017 So many things wrong with this game I'm not sure where to begin. Sometimes I swipe down and it's swipes sideways and messes up my move. The first 25 or so levels are super easy then suddenly they're impossible without paying. There is just so many colors going on it's impossible to keep track of what is what, it's a huge colorful mess. That's just the beginning of my complaints but the primary ones. Full Review

Many people know that Seth MacFarlane uses his real voice when he voices the character Brian, but the two share more than just a similar way of speaking. Brian is positioned as the voice of reason in this crazy house, and MacFarlane’s own voice and comments come through the character of the family dog. Many of his left-leaning political views and his rationality are similar to the way MacFarlane himself thinks.

During this episode, one of the more iconic songs, “Bag of Weed,” is introduced into the show. Brian and Stewie lead the song, and Brian’s advocacy for the legalization of marijuana, combined with his prevalent use of the substance, prompted High Times to name Brian the “Stoner of the Year” for 2009.

In a season 11 episode, Lois goes back to blonde in an attempt to catch Peter sleeping with a phone sex operator (who was actually Lois). It speaks to Peter’s intelligence that he can’t recognize his wife, who was initially blonde, when she’s wearing a blonde wig.

Norm MacDonald was eventually replaced by Adam Carolla and the series included Death only when needed. It may be a bit difficult to include such a character in the plot of every single episode, which could be why they scrapped the idea. He’s a great character and would have been a fantastic running joke, but the writers of the show decided to go in a more subtle and understated joke for the fans; more on that below.

Mila Kunis and Lacey Chabert have both voiced Meg Griffin. Chabert left the series because of time conflicts with schoolwork and her role on Party of Five. When Kunis auditioned for the role, she was called back by MacFarlane, who instructed her to speak slower. He then told her to come back another time and enunciate more. Once she claimed that she had it under control, MacFarlane hired her.

Family Guy is a good show, mainly for teens and young adults. It's raunchy potty humor and random hilarity keep young teens interested but there are some very mature subtle subjects that get dropped into the program. While some of the episodes end with a good message or moral-lesson, for the most part they are all the same in their crude humor and lesson-less programming. This show is on for kids age 13 and older.

Chris surprises everyone and becomes a star baseball pitcher, which turns Peter into a gambling father, as he bets on his son’s baseball games.. Share b a d z @

My Precious April 30, 2017 More like, "We deserve 1 star". First of all, the game is slow. Second, what many other match three games do not realize is, the top developers like Candy Crush do make the difficult levels possible to pass without having to shell out money for help. There are daily bonuses that allow users to collect power ups etc.. I haven't really gotten far in this game and already the levels are almost impossible. I won't spend money on a game that's an obvious cash grab. This is why many of you fail. Full Review

Mike Henry voices Cleveland Brown, Herbert, Bruce the Performance Artist, Consuela and the Greased-up Deaf Guy. Henry met MacFarlane at the Rhode Island School of Design, and kept in touch with him after they graduated. A few years later, MacFarlane contacted him about being part of the show; he agreed and came on as a writer and voice actor. During the show's first four seasons, he was credited as a guest star, but beginning with season five's "Prick Up Your Ears", he has been credited as a main cast member.
